Responsibility details are not available.
A richly saturated pink fluorescent shade from the Precision Fluor line by AK interactive. It suits any spot on a model where a light source or a bright glow needs to stand out: neon signs in a city diorama, interior lighting on a sci-fi vehicle, energy elements on robots and gaming figures, or light strips on a car body. Its intensity is beyond the usual modeling palette, so the shade works even on a small area.
A fluorescent pigment converts incoming light into a different wavelength, so it looks neon-bright in daylight and stands out most under an ultraviolet lamp. On its own it does not glow in the dark, so it is not a phosphorescent paint that charges up and then glows in darkness. Fluorescent pigments tend to cover more weakly than ordinary paints, and the base coat shows through.
First spray the area with white, then apply the shade over it in two to three thin coats, letting each one dry before the next. Over a dark base, the shade turns grayish and the glow is lost. Thinner coats are better than one heavy coat that fills in the detail. You can lighten the center of a light element and let the edges fade into the base color for a more convincing transition. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for thinning and cleaning tools.
For builders of sci-fi vehicles, figures and dioramas, as well as modelers of current vehicles who want to convincingly render light elements. The shade is sold on its own; the model, thinner and varnish are not included, unless stated otherwise.
