In a well-lit cockpit, the seat, belts and pedals are among the most noticeable details; fine 3D printing captures them more accurately than the parts in the box. This version is designed specifically for the Hobby Boss kit and will not fit the Tamiya kit — a separate, differently shaped version exists for Tamiya. When buying, check which kit you are building to avoid a mix-up. The Me 262 was the first jet fighter used in combat.

Building and painting tips

Carefully separate the parts from the print supports, clean them up and wash off any residue. They are glued with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Apply a primer before painting, spray the seat and pedals with an airbrush, and paint the belts separately; highlight the details with a wash. The belts supplied as photo-etched parts in the kit can be combined with this set. Use respiratory protection when sanding resin.
