A set of resin figures of a German wartime naval crew in 1:72 scale from FLY. The package holds 1 captain and 20 sailors, 21 figures in all. This variant is the rendition with berets. The figures serve to populate the decks of models of ships, submarines and gunboats and for dioramas; it is not a ship kit.
The figures represent members of the German wartime navy (the Kriegsmarine) of the Second World War period. The crews served on vessels operating in the Atlantic and in the North and Baltic Seas. In the larger 1:72 scale the detail of the figures stands out and it is worth painting them more carefully.
Cut the parts off the casting blocks, clean them up and wash off any mold release agent. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). They can be painted with a brush or an airbrush; in the larger scale we recommend working up the faces, the uniforms and the shadows of the folds.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. The ship model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
