A figure of a US Air Force female pilot in a seated pose for the cockpit, in 1:32 scale, intended for models of the F-5E/F and RF-5E aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure depicts a US Air Force female pilot in flight gear, in a seated pose intended for the cockpit. A figure in the seat is one of the few things that turn a model into a living scene even before you start on a base or a diorama: the viewer sees at once how big the aircraft is and how the crew sits in the cockpit. The figure is intended for the F-5E/F and RF-5E aircraft, that is, for the light combat aircraft and their reconnaissance version.
This is a figure in 1:32 scale. A seated pose means that the fit in a particular cockpit always has to be tried dry first - there is usually less room at the close side walls and at the instrument panel than it seems. The exact contents of the package and the recommended procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting so that the primer holds. Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down; on a seated figure watch above all the surfaces under the thighs and on the back that sit against the seat. Choose the glue according to the material: cement for plastics has no effect on parts that are not polystyrene, and super glue is used there. Paint the figure before you seat it in the cockpit; afterward you will not be able to reach the shadows in the folds of the gear.
The set is for modelers whose finished cockpit lacks a crew and for whom an empty seat spoils an otherwise well built model. The aircraft model is not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
