Under the manufacturer's part number HG1404 comes a finished collector model. It differs from a kit in one fundamental thing: you are not buying parts but the result. The model arrives from the factory assembled and painted, so once unpacked it heads straight for a display case. You need no glue, paints or tools for it and do not have to allow time for building.
The model does best in a closed display case out of reach of direct sunlight. Sunlight changes the shade of the paint and of the printed markings over time, and a closed case also keeps the model free of dust. You will get dust off the surface with a soft brush or a fine duster; a coarser cloth can rub the printing. When carrying it, hold the model by the solid areas rather than by the small projecting parts, which are the most liable to break.
Finished models aim at collectors who want to widen a display case without building, and at modelers looking for a reference piece beside their own work. Because of its weight and the small details it is not a toy for children's hands but an object for display that stands being looked at closely every day.
The model is supplied finished and painted and is not meant for any further assembly. A display case, a base and supplementary figures are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
