The Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track carrier carried the German armored infantry throughout the Second World War. At the rear it rode on tracked running gear, while at the front it stood on a pair of wheels that did the steering. Tires for them were supplied by several makers at once, so in period photographs you will meet vehicles with a different tread pattern on the left and the right side; they were shod with whatever was at hand.
Replacement front axle wheels in 1:72 scale with the patterns of three period tire brands, Continental, Dunlop and Fulda. One package thus covers several possibilities at once: either you give each model a different brand, or you mix different wheels on one vehicle.
The parts are not polystyrene and cement for plastic does not take on them; use super glue and degrease the surfaces to be bonded beforehand. Spray a base primer before painting. Keep the tire a different shade from the hub and do not reach for pure black, which looks too harsh in 1:72 scale. The tread pattern comes out well if you go over it dry with a lighter shade once it has dried and settle the mud only into its recesses.
