This is a standalone 3D-printed kit of the American aircraft deck tractor A/S32A-32A in 1:72 scale from Reskit, complemented by a driver figure. It is the same tractor as in the larger 1:48 scale, scaled down for models in the popular 1:72. Unlike detail sets it is a full model that you build on its own; it is not a part to be inserted into another kit. Even in the small scale, 3D printing gives it a finely drawn frame, engine and controls.
The A/S32A-32A is a low, powerful deck tractor of the US Navy used to move aircraft, from fighters to helicopters, both on the deck of an aircraft carrier and on airfield aprons. Built with its driver, the tractor brings a deck or ground scene diorama to life and gives aircraft models both scale and a story.
It is a resin 3D-printed kit for more experienced modelers, and in this small scale the parts are especially tiny. Separate them carefully from the print supports, wash them in warm water with detergent and clean them up; protect your airways while sanding resin. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). After the base color, discreet washes and pigments for service grime work well; paint the driver figure separately.
The same tractor also exists in the larger 1:48 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a 3D-printed resin kit; glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
