Brummbär is the established nickname of a German assault gun of the Second World War, built on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. In an armored superstructure without a rotating turret it carries a 15 cm howitzer, intended for direct fire against fortified targets and against built-up areas. The vehicle was built in several production series that differ from each other in the shape of the superstructure and in the way the driver's position is arranged, so it pays for a modeler to know which series he is building.
The book carries the series designation SM.04.
