Dunkelgelb is the dark yellow base shade in which German military vehicles were painted from 1943. In itself it is an unrewarding color: light, with little variation, and on a model it easily slips into a flat yellow area without depth. Solution Box 35 is therefore built as a complete procedure at the end of which the surface has legible shades, lighting and traces of service.

The manual is a substantial part of the product here: it shows the order of the individual steps, which in weathering matters more than the choice of products itself.
Keep to the order of the steps and let each layer dry properly, otherwise the products will dissolve the previous work. Try the shades first on a scrap of plastic or on the underside of the hull, not straight away on the upper surface. Apply deposits into the engraved lines deliberately and wipe the excess off in the direction in which water runs down the vehicle. Build the dust and the deposits from the bottom up and only suggest them higher up, because a continuous layer over the whole vehicle looks artificial. Judge the strength of the effects in daylight and from a distance, because close up one always overdoes them.
