Aircraft technician figures in winter uniform in 1:32 scale, set number 17 are 3D printed figures from Temp Models for a winter airfield scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings 3D printed figures of aircraft technicians in winter uniform in 1:32 scale from Temp Models. The figures capture the ground personnel preparing an aircraft in freezing weather, that is in the situation in which work on the apron changes the most. It is not a model of an aircraft but the crew to go with one.
Winter airfield operation changes the look of the personnel more than anything else. A technician puts on a padded jacket and trousers, a fur cap and gloves, so the figure gains volume and soft folds that are not there in summer clothing. The work is not made any simpler by it: the checks, the de-icing and the replenishing are done just the same, only they take longer. For a diorama a winter scene is rewarding, because it allows you to work with snow and with the contrast of dark equipment against a light surface.
The parts are printed from resin and are held only by thin supports. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks down with fine sandpaper and protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint holds longer on a smooth print if you lay a thin coat of primer under it. Paint the figures in layers from the base tone toward the light edges, and leave the face and the hands for last.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model aircraft are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
