A set of modeling markers focused on tools and equipment. You apply the paint straight from the tip, with no mixing and no airbrush.
Responsibility details are not available.
A themed set of modeling markers devoted to tools and equipment. A pickaxe strapped to the fender of a tank, handles left in a workshop scene or hand tools on a workbench are the small things that are hardest of all to paint with a brush: the area is small, the shape is broken and one drop of paint is enough to make the subject run onto the part next to it. A marker lays the paint exactly where the tip points.
The paint comes straight from the tip, so there is no mixing, no thinning and no brush to wash. The set belongs among the markers for highlighting and aging a surface, so it suits the base painting of small parts as well as the later enlivening of a finished model.
Wash and degrease the surface first, otherwise the paint holds badly on greasy plastic. Test the shade on an offcut of sprue rather than straight on the model. Apply it in thin coats and let each one dry; one heavy coat dries unevenly. Handles and grips stand out if, once dry, you draw a fine stroke along the grain of the edge. The exact procedure for this set is given in the instructions on the packaging.
It suits the modeler who builds vehicles with a load of tools, workshop scenes or figures with equipment and does not want to set up a whole painting kit for a few strokes. The package holds the stated set of markers; the model, further paints, varnishes and thinners are not included, unless stated otherwise.
