Transformers Starscream - Smart Kit 08 is a Trumpeter plastic kit capturing the character Starscream in his robot form.
Responsibility details are not available.
The model captures one of the best-known characters of the Decepticon side. The Smart Kit range comes from Trumpeter and the individual numbers in it belong to various heroes and adversaries of this world. In that range this set carries the number 08.
Starscream appears as the commander of the Decepticon air forces. He transforms into a jet fighter, which carries over into his robot form as well: sharp angles, wings carried on the back and a slender silhouette built on long limbs. In character he tends to be drawn as an ambitious schemer who is constantly eyeing his commander's place.
A figure like this stands or falls on the cleanness of its edges. Cut the sprue remains off with a sharp knife and polish the surface, because every scratch shows on light and metallic shades. A metallic look comes out on a smooth, perfectly dry base and is applied at the very end – it is hard to mask and easily rubbed. Paint the small parts before joining them, because once assembled a brush will not reach them.
The parts are supplied on sprues and the assembly is left to the builder. The package does not contain paints or glue.
