URBAN DIORAMA COLORS

The set

A paint set intended for an urban diorama. The name ties it to the setting of the street, that is, to plaster and facades, to concrete and paving, to curbs and masonry and to the small things a scene is made of. Which particular shades the set contains and how many there are is stated in the description on the packaging and in the manufacturer's material. The set is put together so that the shades go together and intermediate tones can be mixed from them.

Where you will use it

An urban scene rests on the fact that no surface is the same as the one next to it. A wall darkens with damp near the ground and fades in the sun higher up, paving is clogged at the curb and worn pale in the middle. Paints are therefore rarely used on their own in a diorama; they are mixed, thinned into glazes and applied over each other until a surface starts to look like something that has lived through something. The set gives such work a base from which shades can be mixed, rather than sought out one by one.

Application tips

Stir the containers before work, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Apply in thin coats and let them flash off, otherwise the surface loses its texture. An airbrush suits large areas, while a brush with a small amount of paint suits transitions and grime in the corners. Choose the thinner, the thinning ratio and the cleaning of tools according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, and use a thinner intended for this range.

Terms of supply

What is supplied is the paint set in the packaging stated by the manufacturer. The thinner, brushes, spraying equipment, a base and building materials for a diorama are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
