This work stand is equipment for a modeling workplace; it is not a kit or a paint. It is a work board measuring roughly 435 x 360 x 68 mm with an adjustable arm (extending to about 350 mm), on which there is an acrylic magnifying lens with 2x magnification and six white LEDs placed right behind the lens. The lighting is powered by four D cells and the manufacturer states over 150 hours of light for it.
A modeler works with parts that measure a few millimeters and at the same time needs both hands free: one holds a brush or tweezers, the other a tool. The stand holds the material and the tools for him. A magnifying lens is simply a necessity with small parts, photo-etch and figures, and with advancing years that is truer and truer; it is a practical aid, not a luxury. And one practical truth on top: a modeler often holds a freshly painted part in his hand and presses a fingerprint into the finish. The clip holders solve that: the part is painted on a clip, the clip is set into the holder and nobody touches the part again until it dries.
For the modeler who builds regularly and wants a workplace where the tools, the paints and the drying parts are all at hand and visible. It will be appreciated above all by builders of figures, aircraft and anything with small parts, and by anyone whose eyes are no longer up to a four-millimeter buckle.
Reckon with buying D cells for the LED lighting. The stand has holders for clips (crocodile clips); add the clips themselves as you need them. Clean the acrylic lens with a soft cloth, as aggressive solvents will make it cloudy.
