What the set contains

A set of eight 17 ml bottles. As the name says, the shades are chosen for the camouflage schemes of the US Army and the Marine Corps from the period of the Second World War, so they cover vehicles as well as gear and accessories of the same period. The particular shades and their designations are given on the packaging of the set and on the labels of the individual bottles.

How to work with the paints

Shake the bottle thoroughly before use so that the settled pigment is mixed back through the whole volume. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions; every range has a thinner meant for it alone and they are not interchangeable. Apply the paint in several thin coats onto a clean, degreased surface and let each coat dry. The shades in the set can be mixed with one another, which is useful when refining transitions and lightening areas.

What to watch out for

• Try the shade on a scrap piece; the cap is no guide.
• Close the bottles carefully after work, as dried paint on the thread will ruin them.
• Clean brushes and the airbrush right after work, not once the paint has dried.
• Store the set in a dry place, away from frost and out of direct sunlight.
• After a longer break, stir the paint again; the pigment will have settled at the bottom in the meantime.
