WY-01 Yakumo Color Set A - WWII Western Front

What a themed paint set is

A set from the Yakumo Color range, designated as the first part and focused on the Western Front of the Second World War. The advantage of such a package is simple: the shades are chosen for one theme, so you do not have to work through a swatch fan and hunt them down one by one. They go together and, while building a model, they form a usable whole without your buying twenty bottles of which three turn out right.

Where you will use it

On the vehicles, equipment and accessories of the fighting in western Europe. It comes into its own on vehicles as well as figures and serves equally well for the small things around them, that is the crates, barrels, tools and kit that make a scene on a diorama look lived in. The paints are not tied to one scale, as this is a matter of shade, not of the size of a part.

Application tips

• Stir each bottle properly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom when left alone.
• Choose the thinner the manufacturer recommends for this range, as mixing systems will curdle the paint.
• Apply thin coats and let them set, as a heavy coat floods the fine relief of the parts.
• Muted military shades darken on a small model; for scale effect it is a good idea to lighten them slightly.
• Before applying decals, give the surface a gloss coat, as a silvering film stays around a decal on matte paint.

Who the set is for

For builders of military vehicles and figures of the Second World War who want a palette for the theme together in one place and without assembling it shade by shade. The model, thinner, brushes and clear coat are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
