Yakumo Color Set B is a set of modeling paints put together for the Eastern Front theme of the Second World War. The point of a themed set is simple: the shades for one subject are together, they belong to one line, and so they can be mixed with one another and thinned in the same way. The exact make-up of the set and the number of jars is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The fighting on the Eastern Front ran from 1941 to the end of the war, and the equipment in it went through everything the weather of that belt has to offer. In spring and in autumn the roads turned into mud that was thrown from the wheels and tracks as far as the superstructures, in summer a fine dust stayed on the machines, and in winter the top coat was supplemented with white winter camouflage. That is exactly what makes this front rewarding for a modeler: two vehicles of the same type look different every time, depending on the season.
Stir the jars well before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom and without stirring the shade is not right. Apply thin coats and let them dry between one another. Once the base coat has dried, grade it: a lighter tone on the horizontal surfaces, a darker one in the recesses, because an evenly painted model looks flat. Winter camouflage goes on only over a finished base and is deliberately rubbed through where the crew moved about.
The package holds the paint set. The model, thinner, brushes and an airbrush are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
