A marker pen of the Gundam Marker line filled with a blue paint with a metallic sheen, manufacturer code XGM04, the shade carried under the name Cosmo Metallic Blue. The tip applies the paint directly, so there is no palette and no thinning, and you do not have to set up an airbrush for a small touch.
A blue metallic shade is used as the color of covers and panels that are meant to look cool and technical, and as an accent on the edges of armor, on shields and on the small parts of a figure's gear. The metallic pigment sets it apart from a flat blue: with the viewing angle the tone either deepens or brightens, so even a small part does not get lost on a model.
Shake the marker thoroughly before work, as the metallic pigment settles in the filling. Prime the tip by pressing it on a plastic offcut or on paper, until the paint flows evenly. Draw the strokes in one direction and let the coat dry, and only then repeat it if needed. In corners and at edges that the tip reaches with difficulty you can squeeze the paint out onto a spare tile and apply it with a brush.
The package holds the marker in the stated finish. The model, further shades, varnishes and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and store the marker out of the reach of children.
