A marker pen of the Gundam Marker line filled with a gold shade, manufacturer code XGM07, the shade carried under the name White Gold. The name refers to white gold, that is to a paler and cooler gold tone than the one classic yellow gold gives. The paint goes from the tip straight onto the model, with no palette and no thinning.
A cooler gold tone is used where a deep yellow would look too showy: on the rims and frames of covers, on small decorative elements, on the buckles and fittings of a figure's gear and on parts that are meant to look like a noble metal. It goes well with silver and gray areas, with which it forms a gentler transition than warm gold.
Shake the marker, as the metallic pigment settles. Prime the tip by pressing it on a plastic offcut until the paint flows evenly, and only then work on the model. Draw thin strokes in one direction and let the coat dry; going over paint that has not dried drives the pigment around and the golden look breaks up. On narrow rims it is practical to squeeze the paint out onto a tile and lead it with a fine brush.
The package holds the marker in the stated finish. The model, further shades, varnishes and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and store the marker out of the reach of children.
