Colored three-dimensional Eduard SPACE elements for the cockpit of the F-14B aircraft in 1:48 scale. They are not self-adhesive; they are taken off dampened carrier paper.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of the SPACE line from the Eduard company for a model of the F-14B aircraft in 1:48 scale. The elements are colored and three-dimensional: the instrument panels, the side consoles and other small items of the pilot's compartment get a raised surface and color at once, so the laborious painting of dials and switches with a brush is done away with. On a model with the canopy open the cockpit is the first thing everyone looks at.
The elements of the SPACE line are not self-adhesive and have no adhesive layer of their own. With a damp sponge and a drop of detergent, dampen only the carrier paper under the part; do not immerse the sheet in water. It is good first to level the area underneath, spray it a dark color and degrease it, so that no plastic shows through any gaps. Take the freed part off with tweezers, put it in place and fix it with white glue; the manufacturer does not recommend super glue. Do not use decal softener, as it will damage the printed resin. Work calmly and with good light: once an element is in place it is hard to move.
The F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat carrier-borne fighter with a variable-geometry wing, introduced with the US Navy. The version designated B is a later form derived from the original F-14A. The crew consisted of a pilot and a weapon systems operator, so the cockpit has two separate working compartments, and the set corresponds to that.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The particular kit and the procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
