LööKplus is an Eduard bundle whose core is a finished resin instrument panel supplemented with steel seat belts and extended with further accessories for the same kit. Alongside this wider bundle, a separate instrument panel for the same type also exists, so you can choose according to how many details you want to add. It is not an airplane kit: the F-16A MLU model in 1:48 scale is obtained separately. Check the make-up of the bundle and the number of parts against the box.
The MLU designation stands for the extensive mid-life upgrade of European single-seat and two-seat F-16As and F-16Bs. It concerned mainly the avionics, the cockpit adapted for flying with night vision goggles and the ability to carry newer armament, while the airframe stayed essentially the original A version. The power came from an F100 series engine, not from the F110 series engines that belong to other versions of the Fighting Falcon. The cockpit of the upgraded machines differs markedly from the original, which is exactly why replacing it with a finished part is rewarding on a model.
First wash the resin part in lukewarm water with detergent to rid it of the remains of the mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a cutting disc and true the face with a file. Try the panel dry before gluing and, if necessary, sand the bulkheads of the kit rather than the part from the set. Glue with super glue applied with a stick in a minimal amount; on large areas an adhesive with a longer setting time helps. Do not overcoat the printed areas with aggressive clear coats. Anneal the steel belts gently before shaping them, so that they hold the bend and do not spring back, and leave the color transitions on them as they are.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
