Six trees in fall colors

A fall scene has one advantage and one difficulty against a summer one. The advantage is the range of color that no other season offers; the difficulty is that a single shade will not capture it. Real fall growth is a mixture of yellow, rust, ocher and green turned brown, and that is exactly how this package is put together.

What is inside

The package holds six pieces measuring 7.62 to 12.7 cm. It is the largest count among the colored tree sets here and at the same time a wide spread of heights, so a whole strip of growth can be put together out of a single package, not just a little group. The lower pieces belong at the edge, the taller ones in the middle or at the back.

Putting a fall stand together

A natural result comes about when the colors are not sorted into groups of one kind but alternated. In nature foliage does not turn all at once or at the same rate, so a yellow tree next to one still green is perfectly normal. It also works well to leave irregular gaps between the trees and to turn a few pieces crown to crown.

Placing them in a scene

The trees are finished and planted. A pin for pushing in runs from the foot of the trunk, and a base that can be taken off belongs with it. Fall colors take well to fallen leaves added on the ground, only the same color range has to be kept so that the ground and the crowns do not look as though they came from different scenes.

Terrain materials and glue are not part of the delivery.

Anyone building a scene step by step can split the six up and keep some of the pieces aside to fill the thinner spots once the stand of trees is done.
