A green landscape looks much the same on every model, a fall one does not. As soon as yellow, orange and rust tones enter the growth, the scene gains mood at once and the viewer stops in front of it. A color blend makes that work easier: the shades are already mixed in the bag, so there is no need to buy four variants and then meter them laboriously into the right ratio.
The volume is 2.83 dm³, so this is a large format intended for bigger areas. The material takes the form of tufts that are pulled apart into smaller pieces depending on whether a whole tree, a low bush or just a patch of color on an otherwise green slope is to appear. Sparing use is usually more effective than blanket coverage.
Trees do not turn all at once. In a single avenue one tree is still green, the second yellow and the third half bare, so the scene looks far better when the colors are mixed between individual crowns as well. Fallen leaves in the same tones belong under the trees; without them a colored crown looks like a prop set up on a summer meadow.
The blend goes well with the green variants of the same line, because the material is processed identically and only the color differs. For the transition between summer and fall it pays to knead two tufts of different tone together in your hand, which produces a crown that is in the middle of turning. The same trick works on bushes along a road, where the change of color is usually the fastest.
