Flex-I-File Touch-N-Flow - an applicator system for liquid cements

Touch-N-Flow is an aid for the precise dosing of liquid cements for plastic models. Its basis is a thin tube ending in a fine metal tip, which draws up a small amount of cement and then releases it by capillary action exactly where you touch the seam with the tip. The parts can thus be put together dry first, checked and glued only at the moment when they fit. The blotting of cement over the surface and the typical damage to detail during application with a small brush both fall away.

Use

• put the parts together dry first, and fix them with tape or a clamp if necessary
• lay the tip of the applicator against the seam and let the cement run along the joint
• work in short sections; on long seams proceed from the top down
• after the work empty the applicator and clean the tip so that it does not clog with dried cement
• do not use the system for cyanoacrylate glues, they dry inside it

Who the aid is for

It will be appreciated by anyone who builds plastic models with prominent long seams, clear parts or small accessories, where an ordinary brush of cement would leave a mark. It is useful when building interiors and ship superstructures as well, where the gluing is done in places that are hard to reach. Liquid cements for plastic are flammable and their fumes are irritating. Work in a well ventilated room, out of the reach of children and away from open flame, and follow the instructions of the cement manufacturer.
