A color blend suits above all the places where vegetation grows by itself and nobody tends it: on field margins, around field roads, in old orchards and on overgrown embankments. The variously colored clumps can be used mixed together, or shade after shade can be sorted out of one package and each applied elsewhere. The second procedure is slower, but the result comes across less like a carpet.
This variant has a more pronounced texture than the foliage intended for low undergrowth. The clumps can be shaped into a hemisphere which on a model works as a separate bush, or they are assembled side by side into a continuous band of scrub. A package with a volume of 945 cm³ is among the larger ones, so it will last even for a project where the greenery runs along the whole length of a board.
First the route the growth will take is laid out; only then is it glued. The clumps are laid from the highest points downwards and the lower edge is blurred with a finer material, so that a bush does not look laid on a smooth surface. Dry twigs of etched filigree added in among the greenery turn scrub into an impenetrable barrier in a few minutes of work.
Do not throw away the remains that crumble off while tearing. The crushed mass will serve as litter under bushes and matches exactly in color, because it comes from the same package. The dust from the bottom of the bag can be used in a similar way, mixed with a little glue it gives a convincing layer of rotting leaves.
