A supply of fine Woodland foliage in forest green for continuous wooded areas and for the foliage of tree frames. The coverage given is 945 cm².
Responsibility details are not available.
A wooded area belongs among the most demanding parts of scenery, because it is made up of dozens of trees and the places where they touch have to come across as one mass. The material for foliage is used up quickly, and topping it up during the work from various packages means risking a boundary of color in the middle of a wood. A more generous package removes this problem, and the area of coverage given is 945 cm².
The shade corresponds to grown deciduous growth in full season. Glued onto a wire frame or onto a natural twig it creates a crown, and spread over the terrain it covers the area between trunks. The fine grain gives dense and compact foliage, which suits above all the smaller scales, where a coarser texture would come across as disproportionately large leaves.
The frame is coated with glue, wrapped in the material and left to dry, whereupon the procedure is repeated in the places where the structure is still visible. Layering in parts gives a crown an irregular outline, whereas a single thick layer creates a ball. For the area between the trees a thin layer of thinned glue and a light spreading are enough. It proves itself to leave some places deliberately bare, because in the gloom under the crowns vegetation grows only thinly and a continuous carpet would look untrue there. The material is not tied to a particular scale; with large models it is merely applied in a thicker layer and with small ones as thinly as possible. The remainder not used up stays usable for a later extension of a scene.
