Stands and clips are a quiet but very useful part of a modeling bench. They hold a part in the position in which glue or paint is drying, so you do not have to rely on a component staying exactly as you laid it down. That saves fingerprints painted over and joints shifted out of place, which would then have to be filled and sanded again. On small parts it also stops them getting lost among the other tools.
Keep the working area clear, so that the aid has a stable base. Remove the remains of cyanoacrylate glue at once, while they are still soft; dried glue comes off considerably worse and the surface gets damaged when it is broken away. Leave thinners and aggressive cleaners aside until you have checked in the instructions what the aid is made of. After work, wipe it and put it away in a dry place out of the reach of children.
