The basis of this foursome is a strong green with a cool shift, which the manufacturer lists as a space green. It is rounded out by a night black for the deepest places, a dark steel for barrels and blades and an old gold for trims, insignia and decorative metal fittings. A combination like this covers a whole figure from the cloak to the gear without any need to reach for further tones. Each bottle holds 18 ml.
The colors are laid on over a light base and create the shadow by themselves by running into the folds. With the green it is worth reckoning that on the raised areas it will stay lighter and livelier, while in the grooves it darkens almost to a bottle green. Leave the gold tone for last and lay it on with a narrow brush only on the surfaces that are meant to catch the light. Once dry, the edges of the fittings can be gone over with a dry brush carrying a lighter metal.
The set serves well where several figures are meant to read as a single squad while no shades of your own have to be mixed. If you need to extend a tone, the palette offers further greens separately. Green is the most demanding color for light in the contrast technique, so do not flood a surface with excess paint.
Keep out of the reach of children, ventilate while working and stir the contents of the bottle before application.
