The sheet carries green strips in thirteen versions. They suit anywhere a narrow band of color would be hard to spray through a mask: on a curved surface, on a thin trim or in a place where paint would creep under masking tape and fill an engraved line. The strips can be shortened and joined to one another, so that a band longer than a single strip can be made from one sheet.
These are water-slide decals. Cut the item out together with its backing paper, soak it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and set it aside until the film starts to slide on the paper. The surface of the model should be smooth, glossy and degreased; on a matte finish air stays trapped under the film and the edge of the decal then remains visible. Move the item into place, squeeze the water out with a soft cloth and adjust the position while the film is still supple. On shaped surfaces a decal softener helps, as it draws the film into engraved lines and down to rivets. Once it is thoroughly dry, overcoat the place with varnish so that the edge disappears.
It will be appreciated by a modeler who builds aircraft models and wants clean bands of color with no masking and no risk of paint creeping under the tape.
