The thick Heavy Earth compound for creating heavy deposits of earth and mud on a model and for the surface of terrain on a base.
Responsibility details are not available.
Heavy Earth is a thick compound for creating heavy deposits of earth and mud. It is used where volume should be visible on a model, not just a change of color: under the cargo bed, on the fenders, in the space between the wheels, on the chassis and on the steps. It serves equally well for creating the surface of terrain on a base or on a diorama, where it joins the model to the groundwork so that it does not stand on it as if glued.
Apply it with a brush with shortened bristles, a spatula or a piece of foam, and work unevenly; real mud never settles in the same thickness everywhere. Let a heavier deposit dry out properly, otherwise it will crack or hold moisture in its core. Once dry, the texture can be worked on further, darkened in the hollows or lightened on the edges, so you do not have to get the result right the first time.
Grade the deposit by height: most of the material belongs near the ground and there is less of it toward the top. Fine sand, grit or pieces of dry grass can be pressed into the compound while it is still damp, and the texture then looks more natural. Clean the tools right after work, as dried compound is hard to remove. Handle thinning, drying time and cleaning according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
The product itself is supplied. Tools, pigments and a model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
