A kit of the MiG-17 fighter aircraft made of plastic bricks, from the historical range on the theme of the war in Vietnam. It is built without gluing.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-17 is a Soviet single-engine jet fighter from the first half of the 1950s, which followed on from the older MiG-15 and was given a more slender fuselage and a more sharply swept wing. In the NATO code it was called Fresco. It was agile, simple to maintain and built under license as well, so it spread to dozens of countries and in small air forces it lasted for long decades. It is talked about most in connection with the war in Vietnam, where as a light and agile machine it fought against considerably heavier and faster opponents.
A model of the aircraft put together from plastic bricks. It is built without gluing, the parts hold by fitting onto each other, so you can take the model apart and build it again at any time. The number of parts, the size of the finished model and the contents of the package are given by the manufacturer on the packaging. Painting is not needed, the parts have their color from the factory already and the printing is carried by the individual bricks themselves.
It suits modelers who want a finished model for a shelf with no work with glue and an airbrush, and also as a gift for younger builders. The build is safe and clean and calls for neither thinners nor sharp tools. The finished model has a sturdy structure, stands up to being taken in the hand now and then, and you need not fear that a slender part will break off as with a classic plastic kit.
A stand, a display case and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
