A collector's bust in the Green Stuff World range, from the Ignis Art series. The designation 1:10 expresses the size of the character against reality, it is not the scale of a vehicle model.
A bust shows only the upper part of a character, that is the head, the shoulders and the chest. The dimension of the product therefore does not follow directly from the ratio, and with busts the manufacturers commonly give exactly the ratio to a living person. A ratio of 1:10 is the most frequent among collector's busts and the whole bust part of the Ignis Art series keeps to it as well. The practical gain is simple: pieces side by side in a display case come across as uniform and a collection does not look scattered. The name of the character Poludnica stays in the manufacturer's original wording.
It will be reached for by collectors of figural subjects and by modelers who want a striking standalone piece for a display case without having to build a whole scene around it. It serves well as a gift for a figure painter too, because the series is easy to recognize and can be continued with further pieces in the same ratio. The practical advantage of a uniform format shows mainly at the moment when a collection grows and needs to be arranged in a display case with a fixed shelf height.
