The warm half of the palette is the hardest-working one for a modeler, because almost everything dusty, earthy or wooden falls into it. The selection offers Orange, Naples Red, Naples Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Sand and Primary Yellow. From a pale sand to a saturated orange it is a continuous row in which neighboring shades follow on from one another.
Desert camouflage from Africa and the Middle East, earthen roads, brick, straw, raw wood, brass under patina, the leather of a saddle. Ocher and sand are also the basis for a layer of dust: thinned down into patches around the running gear, they turn a clean model into a machine that has been somewhere. Naples Red is the transitional tone between yellow and red and suits sunsets as well as rusty patches.
Yellow and orange pigments cover less well than dark ones, so it is a good idea to lay a light base under them. On a white base the shade comes out as it looks in the bottle; on a gray one it darkens and loses its sparkle. Count rather on two thin coats than on one heavy one.
Primary Yellow and Orange are shared by this selection with the primary color set of the same line, so when buying both packages you will get two extra bottles of the same tone.
