A publication devoted to jet aircraft in 1:144 scale, the smallest of the commonly built aircraft scales.
Responsibility details are not available.
The publication deals with jet aircraft in 1:144 scale, the smallest of the commonly built aircraft scales. It concentrates on what modelers care about most with these machines: what they look like and how to work on a model that fits in the palm of a hand.
In 1:144 scale the rules of building shift. The panel lines are so fine that heavy emphasis ruins them at once; wear stays in weaker tones, because the contrast that looks natural in a larger scale reads here as nothing but dirt. Much of the impression is carried by the decals and by cleanly sprayed color edges. On the other hand a whole collection of machines from one period fits side by side in the display case, and a model in progress does not block the workbench for half a year.
It suits the collector of small scales, the modeler who wants to build a series of machines from one period, and anyone looking for a subject for the next build. It also serves as support when weighing up a color scheme, that is at the moment when it has to be decided what the finished model will look like.
The publication is supplied on its own. Models, paints and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
