Dried and preserved lichen belongs among the few scenic materials that a modeler does not have to shape in any way. The branching that the plant has by itself corresponds in miniature to the branching of a bush or a young tree, so it is enough to tear off a piece of the right size. The Medium Green shade sits on vegetation at the time when the leaves have lost their spring lightness but have not yet passed into fall tones, and it therefore tends to be the most used of the green range.
The package carries 1.41 dm³ of material, which the manufacturer gives also as 86.6 cubic inches. The content is loose and is made up of pieces of various sizes; larger clumps can be torn into smaller ones with the fingers without crumbling into dust.
The preserving keeps the material flexible, so finished vegetation does not fall apart even after years on a shelf. The use is not tied to a single scale: the coarseness of the texture is governed by how large the pieces you take from the package are. In combination with static grass and stone a transition from the ground to a crown arises that looks natural even when seen close to.
