A paste for the effect of dried cracked soil in a light version, 100 ml. Once dry the surface cracks into irregular plates.
Responsibility details are not available.
A paste in a light version that, once applied and dried, cracks by itself and divides the surface into irregular plates. The result is the look of dried mud, the bed of a drained channel, cracked earth in a field or dry soil in the ruts left by heavy vehicles. The cracks form on their own, so you do not have to scribe them with a tool and the result does not look regular.
The base has to be dry and firm. Apply the paste with a brush or a spatula to the area you want to crack and then leave it alone; every pass over a drying layer disturbs the pattern of the cracks. How fine or coarse the cracks turn out is related to the thickness of the applied layer, so it pays to make a test on a piece of card and to check the recommended thickness and drying time with the manufacturer. Do not speed the drying up with a hair dryer; fast drying changes the pattern of the cracks. Wash the tools immediately after work with the product the manufacturer gives.
It comes into its own on the base of a diorama, on a display base and on smaller areas such as a dried puddle beside a road. The dry surface can be toned further with a glaze, a dry brush or pigments, and that brings the cracks out even more. The range also offers a dark version of the same effect and a version for a wet surface, so they can be combined.
The package contains the paste. The base, paints, pigments and tools are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
