A light green shade matches leaves shortly after sprouting, when they are still translucent and lack full saturation. On a model it has two roles. A whole stand is covered with it when a scene is meant to look like April or May, or it is used only in the places the sun falls on, so that a darker crown gets a light top. The second way works even when the landscape is meant to be a summer one: the contrast of two tones creates the volume that an area of one color never has.
This range is grainier than the foliage intended for undergrowth, the individual clumps hold their shape and do not fall apart into a flat area. That is exactly why bushes, dense field copses and the leafing of crowns on wire frameworks are built well from it. The large package has a volume of 945 cm³, which is roughly three times the small bag of the same range, so it is enough even for continuous green strips along a line or a road.
A clump is torn to the size of the future bush, its underside is dipped in glue and pressed onto the terrain. On crowns it has proved best to apply glue to the framework and press the foliage lightly into it, so that it stays airy. Once it has dried the whole can be fixed with a spray varnish and supplemented with a scatter in the color of fallen leaves. Only the plant mass is part of the package, do not look in it for frameworks or glue.
An opened bag need only be closed and put away out of the dust, the mass neither ages nor changes tone. Blow the dust settled on a finished scene off with a bulb or with compressed air from a greater distance; a vacuum cleaner is not recommended on fine greenery, as it would draw off the glued pieces too.
