AK interactive LIGHT GREEN — weathering pencil, light green

A single AK interactive weathering pencil in the shade LIGHT GREEN. It is a modeling aid for weathering and effects, not a kit. The lead is semi-greasy and water-soluble: you draw it dry and then blend it out with a damp brush. Green deposits are always irregular and blotchy — and that is exactly what a pencil does better than a brush. You draw the patch as a shape, not as a stroke, so it can be placed where damp and growth would really take hold, and nowhere else.

Use

• Algae and vegetation deposits on ship hulls, along the waterline, around drains and in the corners where water stands.
• Mossy patches on vehicles left standing in undergrowth — wheels, wheel arches, the bottom of the cargo bed, the gaps between parts.
• Green patina on copper and brass parts, on fittings and sheet metal covers.
• Touch-ups and highlights on green vehicles — lightening edges and raised surfaces where the paint would be worn by the sun.
• No mixing of the shade — you do not have to hit the green on a palette, the pencil keeps the tone the same every time.

Who it is for

For modelers of ships, dioramas and vehicles that should look as though they stood somewhere for a long time. The pencil is forgiving to a beginner — you work in small steps, the result is visible at once and until it is sealed under clear coat it can be blended out or wiped off with a damp brush. An advanced modeler will value it on details a brush struggles to reach. It works best on a flat surface.

Keep out of the reach of children. Do not inhale the dust created when sharpening or sanding the pencil lead.
