Abteilung 502 Light Moss Green - a dry weathering pigment, made by Abteilung 502

A dry modeling pigment from Abteilung 502 in the form of a very fine colored powder. It is not a paint or a kit but a weathering product. The Light Moss Green shade is a light greenish tone evoking a delicate growth of moss, lichen and the first vegetation on damp surfaces - it suits lighter mossing of stone, masonry, roofs and diorama bases. The pigment is supplied in a jar and applied dry with a soft brush; it settles in recesses and gaps, where it creates a fine light green veil. At the end it is fixed.

Use

• Apply the fine powder with a brush on areas where a light growth of moss and lichen would form.
• Fix it with a pigment fixer or with mineral spirits (white spirit); once dry, the effect stays.
• Combine it with fresh and faded greens for natural gradation of the growth.
• Use it as a light accent over darker green and earth pigments.
• Suitable for dioramas, stones, masonry, roofs and damp surfaces.
