Five paints for the aircraft of the West Luftwaffe of the 1960s and 1970s, four matte shades and one metallic.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set aims at the time when Starfighters, Italian Fiat G.91s and the first Phantoms flew over the Federal Republic. Four covering colors match the German RAL standard: bright orange 2005 serves for warning stripes and tips, yellow olive 6014 and basalt gray 7012 cover the upper surfaces, and silver gray 7001 belongs on the underside of the fuselage and the wings.
Added to the matte four is a metallic white aluminum paint from the manufacturer's metal range. It has a different binder, sprays straight from the bottle with no thinning and is meant for machines that flew in bare metal, that is early Starfighters and Sabres before camouflage was introduced. It comes out best over a smooth black base.
After joining the North Atlantic alliance, the newly built air force received American and Italian aircraft and with them its own specification for finishes. At first it flew in bare metal; later the German machines were given dark camouflage completed by striking orange areas, which were meant to make recognition easier in the busy traffic over the middle of Europe.
This is a set of paints on its own. The aircraft, thinner and an airbrush are not included in the price.
