A fine powder that turns into a hard compound with super glue, for filling gaps and reinforcing joints.

Super glue holds superbly on a flat surface but fails miserably wherever there is a gap. This powder is intended for exactly that case. It is poured into the gap, a drop of glue goes into it, and within moments a solid compound forms that reinforces the joint and fills the cavity at the same time. Once cured, the result can be sanded, filed, drilled and cut, so you work with it just as with the surrounding material.
It comes in handy most often with resin and metal parts, where ordinary putty has nothing to grip: a broken thin spar, a snapped-off barrel, a transition between two parts of different materials, or a place where a missing corner has to be rebuilt. It is also used to create the root of a joint that will carry a load, for example on landing gear legs holding up the whole model.
Dose it a little at a time. The reaction with the glue is fast and is accompanied by heat, so it makes sense to work in a ventilated area and not to prepare more than you will use immediately. The same brand offers a matching super glue as a separate item; the powder on its own does not replace the glue.
Do not look for a universal putty substitute in it, though. For a large area that you will sand smooth for a long time, a classic modeling compound remains more suitable, because it works more softly and forgives more. The strength of this pairing lies elsewhere: in places under load, in blind holes and everywhere you need to be done in two minutes and carry on.
It also serves to rebuild shapes missing from the box. You build up the jagged edge of a broken molding roughly, let it harden and then simply sand it down to the profile you need, without waiting until the next day.
