MDF Movement Trays 25mm 2x1 - Skirmish Lines

MDF Movement Trays 25mm 2x1 - Skirmish Lines

A Green Stuff World gaming tray from the Skirmish Lines sub-range, prepared for figures on bases designated 25mm. The 2x1 layout is the smallest in the whole sub-range and joins figures into a short line. The abbreviation MDF is given in the name itself. It is not a base for a display cabinet but an aid for the gaming table.

The smallest formation has its uses

A tray for a pair looks like a trifle at first sight, but in practice it solves a situation that large formations cannot. Units break up during a game, patrols and the remnants of squads get separated, and that is exactly when you need to move a pair, not a block. The small piece also works as a building element: several short lines side by side create a shape that can be changed as the situation on the table develops, whereas one large tray always keeps the same footprint. On top of that the smallest format stores well and gets easily into terrain that a wide formation would not pass through.

When you will appreciate it

• with pairs, patrols and the remnants of broken units
• when you want to change the shape of a formation instead of a fixed footprint
• for passing between terrain where a wide tray does not fit
• as a companion to the larger layouts of the same sub-range

Who it is for

For players of skirmish games and for anyone who wants the smallest piece of the whole tray system on hand and likes to assemble formations as needed. Before buying, check the base size of your figures; the layout matches the measurement given in the name.
