MDF Old World Bases - Rectangle 30x60mm

MDF Old World Bases - Rectangle 30x60mm

MDF Old World Bases - Rectangle 30x60mm is a rectangular gaming base measuring 30x60 mm from the Spanish label Green Stuff World, from the range given in the name as Old World. The rectangular format belongs to games with formations, where models are drawn up edge to edge. It is therefore a playing component, not a display base for a finished model in a display case.

A deeper format for larger models

The rectangle measuring 30x60 mm has the width of an ordinary square base but twice the depth. It is used under models that take up more room toward the rear of a formation, cavalry or larger poses for example, while still holding the same width at the front of the unit as the rest. That keeps the block of the unit straight, and measuring from its edge gives the same result as with the rest of the formation.

When to reach for it

• You need a rectangular base measuring 30x60 mm.
• You have models that take up more depth than width in a formation.
• You want to keep a uniform front with models of differing sizes.
• You are looking for a base for play, not a decorative plinth.

Who it is for

For players of battle games with formations and for collectors of figures who need the rectangular format in an exact size. The shape and the size follow from the name; the number of pieces in the package and the thickness are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
