Medium Grey is a neutral medium gray shade from the enamel range of the Alclad brand. You will find a similarly named shade from other manufacturers too, but the chemistry differs fundamentally: this is a synthetic enamel thinned with solvent, not an acrylic and not a lacquer. Choose the thinner, the cleaner and the procedure for coating over it accordingly.
A medium gray is the workhorse of a modeling shelf. It serves as a base under more colorful shades, as a starting tone when mixing your own grays and as the color of technical parts where no exact regulation shade is at stake: wheel bays, armament, accessories, diorama elements. Because the shade is neutral, it can easily be shifted with white toward a lighter variant or with black and brown toward a dirtied one.
