A modeling material for imitating moss in a dark shade. For the most shaded and dampest places on dioramas, display bases and ruins.
Responsibility details are not available.
The dark shade belongs where the sun hardly ever reaches. A deep green pulled toward brown works on a model like a shadow and gives the growth the depth that paint alone cannot create, because besides the shade it also brings a small irregular texture. It serves as the bottom, darkest layer of growth and on its own in places where long-standing damp and neglect are meant to show at first glance.
Look for the most shaded places in the scene: the bottom of joints between stones, corners under steps and under a ramp, the footings of pillars, the inside of a ruin, wooden sleepers by water, the surroundings of downpipes and the lower edges of crates left in the damp. It also serves well under lighter moss, to which it gives depth. The same range includes a light and a medium shade, so the growth can be graded from shadow toward lit places.
Dose the dark green more sparingly than the lighter shades; over a large area it darkens the whole scene and reads as dirt. Divide the material into small tufts, lay them with tweezers into hollows and shaded corners and fix them with a glue suitable for the material in question, following the manufacturer's instructions. Leave the edges irregular and broken up, because a sharp boundary gives the growth away. The transition to the surroundings can be evened out with lightly laid pigments or a thin coat of paint sprayed from a greater distance.
The model, the display base, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
