Albion Alloys Microbrush Fine / Yellow is a medium-size micro applicator, the all-round choice for ordinary detail work, glue on small parts, washes and touch-ups. A modeling aid, not a kit. Sold individually.
Responsibility details are not available.
A Microbrush is a disposable micro applicator, not a haired brush. On a flexible stick there is a small fibrous head whose fibers do not soak the medium into themselves but hold it on the surface like a drop that will not run. The result is very precise dosing, no hairs left in a coat of varnish and the ability to angle the shaft into corners a brush cannot reach. Fine (yellow) is the medium size of the trio Regular, Fine and Superfine, and it is the most versatile choice: it picks up enough material for ordinary work while staying fine enough for detail. It is made by the British company Albion Alloys. It is sold individually, one piece at a time.
Fine (yellow) is the right choice for most ordinary detail work, where Regular (green) is already too hungry and lays down more material than you want, while Superfine (white) would have to be reloaded too often. Reach for Regular when you need to cover a larger area or work with a thicker medium, and for Superfine when you are going for the finest detail: thin lines, the eyes of figures, micro touch-ups.
For modelers building plastic kits, figures and dioramas who want complete control over the dose of glue, wash or pigment. The applicator is a consumable aid: once the medium dries, the head is spent, which is why several are usually bought at a time.
A modeling aid or tool, not a kit. Paints, glues and chemicals are not part of the delivery. Ventilate the room when working with solvent-based media and protect your hands.
