The December issue of the Czech modeling monthly with build articles, dioramas, history and a walkaround of a Japanese light tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
The issue is built around two extensive build articles. The first is a P-47D Thunderbolt in 1:48, the second a carrier-borne TBM-1 Avenger torpedo bomber in the considerably larger 1:32. Both articles take you through the build step by step, as is the custom in this title. A pair of builds in completely different scales is practical for the reader: one shows work with fine detail, the other with large surfaces.
The diorama section offers two entirely different registers: a StuH 42 assault gun in 1:35 and a Stalker scene in the same scale, that is an excursion into post-apocalyptic subjects. The review section deals with the T-2 Buckeye jet trainer in 1:72, and the Krabicka column takes on the rocket-powered Bell X-1 in 1:48.
The history section is unusually strong in this issue. One article traces the career of the Junkers F.13 airliner in Czechoslovakia, a second the air fighting in the Far East, and a third the Romanian IAR 80 and IAR 81 fighters, with a separate supplement of camouflage schemes to go with them. The monograph and the walkaround are together devoted to the Japanese Type 95 Ha-Go light tank, so the reader gets both the history of the type and detailed photographs for a build. Combining a monograph and photographic documentation of the same machine in one volume is rare and makes the issue usable material years later.
The issue closes with a survey of new titles on the book market and the regular comment columns. The format is the classic magazine one, with a color picture supplement. It is published in Czech and covers plastic modeling and flying models alike.
