Helicopter field green and the graded grays of the MiG-29, F-16 and Su-22 machines, completed by two cockpit tones. Six shades in all.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package covers two different parts of the Polish sky: the helicopters, which have kept their green finish, and the jets, which have moved to graded grays. Both are represented among the six so that they follow on from one another.
According to the manufacturer, the field green is today the overall shade of Polish helicopters, namely the Mi-2, Mi-8 and Mi-17 types, the Mi-24 gunships and the home-built W-3 and SW-4 Puszczyk machines. The jet part opens with the darker gray of the upper surfaces of the MiG-29 fighters, which also covered the C-130E transports overall. The light ghost gray appears not only on the MiG-29 but also on the F-16C and F-16D, on the M-346 Bielik trainers and on the Su-22M4 and UM3K, and it also serves inside the cockpits of the F-16. They are completed by the medium gray of the upper surfaces of the same types, the blue-green tone of the instrument panels of helicopters of Soviet origin and the camouflage gray given to MiG-29 cockpits after overhaul.
Cockpit shades tend to be overlooked in paint sets and a modeler has to look for them separately. Here two of them are in the package straight away, so the inside and the outside of a machine can be painted from one box and the shades go together. It is also worth noting that between the helicopters and the jets there are not merely two different colors but two different eras of equipment, which serve side by side in the Polish Air Force to this day.
Gray patterns will take crisper boundaries than desert camouflages, so masking tape or a stencil is useful. Keep the coats thin and let the paint flash off between them.
