Modular System Workshop - Brush Holder

Modular System Workshop - Brush Holder

A brush holder from the modular Modular System Workshop line of the AMMO of Mig Jimenez brand. It is the least expensive item of the whole line, and therefore the easiest way to try it out without buying a complete assembly.

The difference compared with a mug or a jar

An improvised holder made from a jar or a mug has three faults that show within a month. The brushes lean against one another in it, so the tips crush each other; when you pull one out, two come out and the second one lands on the floor exactly tip first; and because you cannot see into the container, you look for a size by feel. A dedicated holder solves this by giving every brush its own place and standing them apart. The fourth thing is the least conspicuous and the most expensive: a jar tips over. A holder with a wider base simply stays standing on a bench with a model in progress.

Before you put it on the bench

• Put only dry and properly cleaned brushes into it, as moisture at the ferrule will splay the bristles.
• Place it on the side on which you hold the brush, since you reach for it ten times an evening.
• Do not use it as a rinsing pot; a separate pot or cup serves for that.
• The dimensions and the diameter of the holes are stated on the box.

Who it is for

• Modelers who want to start organizing the bench with the smallest possible step.
• Those who work with several brushes at once and do not want to lay them down on the top.
• Owners of other parts of the line, as an addition to the assembly.

Brushes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
