A primer in the green shade NATO Green, a 17 ml bottle. It unifies the surface of a model before painting and offers a green undercoat tone straight away.
Responsibility details are not available.
A primer is the first layer a model receives. It unifies a surface made up of plastic, metal and resin, so that the shade is not lost anywhere, and it gives the covering paint something to hold on to; without it the finish rubs off the edges every time the model is picked up. At the same time it works as a check on the work: in a uniform area an unsanded joint, a scratch or a fingerprint stands out at once, that is at the moment when it can still be put right without going back a step.
NATO Green is the green tone from the three-tone camouflage scheme in which green is combined with brown and black on the vehicles of the armies of the North Atlantic Alliance. A colored primer has a practical advantage over a gray or a black one: anyone building a modern vehicle in this scheme gets the undercoat and the base tone of the camouflage in one layer and saves an application that would otherwise clog the fine relief. On a green undercoat the brown and black fields are then easier to draw.
Wash and degrease the model before applying it and let it dry out properly. Stir the container thoroughly; the pigment settles at the bottom. Keep the layer thin; a heavy application floods the rivets and the engraved detail. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the bottle. Let the primer dry properly and only then paint, because masking tape will imprint itself into a layer that has not dried.
A model, thinner and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
